Master’s Students to present projects in Cuba
Univates Education master’s student Aline Diesel will participate in the 10th Congreso Internacional de Educación Superior – Universidad, in Havana, Cuba from the 15th to the 19th of February. The congress is organised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Cuban universities, and this year’s theme is “An innovative university for sustainable human development.”
Aline will present two projects she has developed in cooperation with her advisor Professor Silvana Neumann Martins. The first project is entitled “Metodologias ativas de ensino na educação universitária: o impacto de práticas pedagógicas inovadoras em cursos da área da gestão organizacional”. The second project is a poster entitled “Projeto de extensão ‘Empreendedor por um dia’: possibilidades de aproximação entre a universidade e a educação básica.”. The projects are the results from research project “Mestrados para a formação de docentes: um lócus de (re)construção e de aprendizagem.”.
Aline says she hopes this trip increases her cultural knowledge as she will have the opportunity to exchange experiences with overseas people. “It is a great opportunity to get new perspectives on subjects we had already been studying at Univates such as Problem- based learning.” – she says. The congress will also host 19 more events on the prospects of higher education, the pedagogy of university teaching, continuing education, funding for higher education, etc. In addition to Brazilians, participants from other countries in the Americas, Europe and Africa will also join the congress.
