Forty-three students from Univates go on an exchange programme

One of Univates main focus in internationalisation: new cultures, new views and experiences. That is what the 43 students who are going on an exchange programme in the second half of this year are expecting to get. On their list, different destinations: Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Portugal, Spain, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic and even China.
 
Juliana Prates Raguzzoni is a Law student and will be the first Univates student to go to Czech Republic. “I was expecting to go to a country where I could speak English” – says the student who is going to the city of Hradec Králové, in September. “Actually, I didn’t even know the country, but learning more about it made my interest sparkle. Now that I have got more information, I am deeply interested. It’s very cultural.” – she says.  
 
Control and Automation Engineering student Eric de Quadros and Computer Engineering student Cristiano Lenz are bound for Poland. It is their first travel abroad and they are going to study at Kielce University of Technology, in September, too. “It is going to be a great experience. Getting to know other places and cultures. Going on an exchange programme is a way to broaden our curriculum, because, in addition to having a good professional level, knowing English is essential in our career.” – says Cristiano. Eric says: This will make a big difference as we expect to improve our fluency in the language.
 
In order to integrate the exchange students and increase contact between them, the International Relations Office arranged a meeting that took place on the 4 th floor of Building 9, last Friday, the 8 th.
