Once more Univates’ quality teaching and students’ dedication to their studies has been confirmed by the Education Department through its Student Performance National Examination 2006. According to O Globo newspaper, among the 1,600 higher education institutions assessed in the country, Univates ranked 49th in the list of the ones with the best results in the three years the examination has been taken (2004, 2005 and 2006).
Moreover, according to it, six institutions from Rio Grande do Sul are among the 50 best ones in the country. In this group, Univates was ranked as 5th, behind only federal universities. In 2005 the institution also confirmed its registers of positive assessments and obtained excellent results in each of its five undergraduate courses which had marks granted by the Student Performance National Examination/2005. Our Letters Course was considered the best one in Brazil, among 714 institutions assessed. Our History program was the best one among the private colleges in Rio Grande do Sul. Pedagogy, Biologic Sciences and Chemistry were ranked as second in the state.
