As an agent to generate and disseminate expertise, UNIVATES has created opportunities for continued education, addressing the preparation of innovating professionals willing to promote changes in the economic, social and cultural scenery of this region.

Students attending these programs can attend free language courses at UNIVATES for one semester, use UNIVATES partnership with banking institutions for splitting up the payment of their tuitions and, if they are alumni from our undergraduate programs, they are granted special discounts.

Research

Besides research in Graduate Courses as Masters in Environment and Development and in Exact Science Teaching, UNIVATES offers other 29 research projects, in which 48 teachers and 82 students are directly involved.

In 2007 this institution granted R$ 1,504,080.00 to research. This added to funds from outside the institution add up to R$ 1,833,772.60 invested in research.
Through yearly edicts this institution selects the research projects which are of greater importance to the present time concerning technical quality, involvement with undergraduate teaching and meaningfulness in terms of regional development for our community.

At present the research projects comprise the areas of Environmental Sciences, Organizational Planning, Management and Innovation, Teaching, Health, Information and its Technologies.
