The objective of this study was to evaluate the balance and flexibilities of pilates practicing seniors, who underwent four tests. The methodology of this study was quantitative, exploratory and descriptive of the survey type. The research was performed with ten elderly women, with a mean age of 61.1 ± 1.2 years in the municipality of Lajeado / RS. To evaluate the dynamic balance the timed up and go test was used for the static balance of baropodometry and for the flexibility, the American College of Sports Medicine sit and catch up test and the Thomas test were used. The data collected through baropodometry were analyzed through a software called Footwork 3600, and its results were typed and tabulated in the Microsoft Windows Excel 2007® program. The statistical treatments of baropodometry and TUG were performed through SPSS-16.0, with a significance level of p <0,05. Results from the sit and catch up test were compared to the data in the table proposed by Wells and Dillon and adapted by the Canadian Standardized Test of Fitness. After analyzing the data, in addition to the improvement in the TUG test, which shows a decrease in the risk of falls and improvement of functional mobility, there was a decrease in the area of the pressure center of the body. In the sit and catch up test there was also a significant difference in the means of the first and the second collection.
