Abstract
A Disciplina Positiva é uma prática educativa parental, baseada em dois princípios: gentileza e firmeza, e vem sendo utilizada por muitos pais. Destaca-se que esta Revisão Integrativa de literatura atual teve por objetivo verificar as contribuições da Disciplina Positiva no relacionamento entre pais e filhos. Para definição da amostra de pesquisa deste tema foram utilizados, como critérios de busca, artigos disponíveis nas bases SciELO, CAPES, PePSIC, BV Saúde e LILACS. Os descritores selecionados foram: "disciplina positiva" e "relacionamento familiar” e suas combinações. Para o estudo foram selecionados três artigos elaborados nos últimos 10 anos, em língua portuguesa, espanhola e inglesa. Estes foram lidos, analisados e agrupados por identificação de temáticas. A partir deste trabalho de análise, foi possível estabelecer duas categorias: 1. O impacto da abordagem parental no relacionamento familiar: a importância da Disciplina Positiva e 2. A relação entre as práticas educativas e a saúde emocional da criança. Verificou-se na análise das pesquisas que as práticas educativas parentais, baseadas na Disciplina Positiva, influenciam positivamente no comportamento e no desenvolvimento das habilidades sociais dos filhos, assim como no relacionamento familiar. Conclui- se que pelas evidências dos estudos pode-se sugerir a Disciplina Positiva como uma forma de educação assertiva, com ganho no relacionamento intrafamiliar e com aumento do desenvolvimento das habilidades sócioemocionais da criança. Sugere-se a realização de mais estudos sobre a temática, visto a escassez de materiais que abordam este assunto na língua portuguesa.
Positive Discipline is a parental educational practice, based on two principles: kindness and firmness. This Integrative Review of current literature aimed to verify the contributions of Positive Discipline in the relationship between parents and their children. To define the research sample on this topic, articles available in the SciELO, CAPES, PePSIC, BV Saúde and LILACS databases were used as search criteria. The descriptors selected were: "positive discipline" and "family relationship" and their combinations. Three articles from the last 10 years, in Portuguese, Spanish and English were selected for the study. These were read and analyzed. From this analysis, it was possible to establish two categories: 1. The impact of the parental approach on the family relationship: the importance of Positive Discipline and 2. The relationship between educational practices and the child's emotionality. It was found that parenting practices directly influence the behavior and social skills of their children, as well as in the family relationship, positively or negatively. It is concluded that, based on the evidence from the studies, Positive Discipline can be recommended as an effective form of education, with gains in the intra-family relationship and with an increase in the child's socio-emotional skills.
