No decorrer das últimas décadas têm ficado ainda mais evidente que grandes problemas ambientais são causados por um conjunto de fatores responsáveis pelo atual processo de degradação, que atinge diversas partes do mundo, cabendo destacar como causas a intervenção humana, o crescimento populacional, as práticas inadequadas na agropecuária, assim como a falta de articulação entre as políticas ambientais e de educação, entre outras. A proposta de trazer as questões ambientais para o seio do currículo acadêmico pode contribuir para repensar estratégias pedagógicas que visam incorporar conteúdo de sustentabilidade e educação ambiental na formação profissional. Um dos princípios da educação para a sustentabilidade é a promoção da cooperação e o diálogo entre indivíduos, instituições e órgãos de educação ambiental, com a finalidade de criar modos de vida que causem menor impacto ao ambiente e atendam às necessidades básicas de todos. Esta tese tem como objetivo geral analisar a ambientalização curricular e propor indicadores de sustentabilidade para os cursos da área da Saúde do ensino superior, tomando como base estudos dos cursos de Enfermagem, Farmácia e Odontologia, em universidades públicas da Região Nordeste do Brasil. Como objetivos específicos, definimos os seguintes: a) apresentar um panorama da atuação das Instituições de Ensino Superior no desenvolvimento de práticas sustentáveis com viés na ambientalização curricular; b) realizar análise integrativa de artigos que tratam do tema no currículo dos cursos da área da Saúde, publicados em bases de dados; c) identificar os pressupostos que norteiam a ambientalização curricular nos cursos Enfermagem, Odontologia e Farmácia; d) propor indicadores de ambientalização curricular; e) exercitar o uso dos indicadores como categorias de análise da ambientalização na análise dos Projetos Pedagógicos dos Cursos (PPCs) de três cursos da área da Saúde nordestinos: Farmácia, Odontologia e Enfermagem. A pesquisa realizada é de caráter quanti-qualitativo, baseada em levantamento bibliográfico e análise dos documentos, especificamente legislações e documentos norteadores da educação ambiental e registros de práticas de ambientalização curricular nos três cursos escolhidos, na região Nordeste do Brasil. Para o tratamento de dados coletados foi realizada a análise textual. Como resultados são propostos sete indicadores de sustentabilidade como caminhos para ambientalizar os currículos da área da Saúde, a começar pelos cursos de Enfermagem, Farmácia e Odontologia. Os sete indicadores são: Diversidade, Contextualização, 6 Transversalidade, Cuidado, Abordagem Curricular, Formação Profissional e Cidadania/Participação. Eles serviram como categorias de análise de 23 Projetos Pedagógicos dos três cursos das nove universidades públicas nordestinas que serviram de recorte do estudo documental.
Over the last decades, it has become even more evident that major environmental problems are caused by a set of factors responsible for the current degradation process, which affects different parts of the world, with human intervention, population growth, inappropriate practices being highlighted as causes. in agriculture, as well as the lack of coordination between environmental and education policies, among others. The proposal to bring environmental issues to the heart of the academic curriculum can contribute to rethinking pedagogical strategies that aim to incorporate sustainability and environmental education content into professional training. One of the principles of education for sustainability is the promotion of cooperation and dialogue between individuals, institutions and environmental education bodies, with the aim of creating ways of life that cause less impact on the environment and meet the basic needs of all. This thesis has the general objective of analyzing the curricular environmentalization and proposing sustainability indicators for courses in the area of Health in higher education, based on studies of Nursing, Pharmacy and Dentistry courses, in public universities in the Northeast Region of Brazil. As specific objectives, we defined the following: a) to present an overview of the performance of Higher Education Institutions in the development of sustainable practices with a bias in curricular environmentalization; b) to carry out an integrative analysis of articles that deal with the theme in the curriculum of courses in the Health area, published in databases; c) identify the assumptions that guide the curricular environmentalization in the Nursing, Dentistry and Pharmacy courses; d) propose indicators of curriculum environmentalization; e) to exercise the use of indicators as categories of analysis of environmentalization in the analysis of the Pedagogical Projects of the Courses (PPCs) of three courses in the area of Health in the Northeast: Pharmacy, Dentistry and Nursing. The research carried out is of a quantitative-qualitative nature, based on a bibliographic survey and analysis of documents, specifically legislation and documents that guide environmental education and records of curricular environmentalization practices in the three chosen courses, in the Northeast region of Brazil. For the treatment of collected data, textual analysis was performed. As a result, seven sustainability indicators are proposed as ways to environmentalize the curricula in the Health area, starting with the Nursing, Pharmacy and Dentistry courses. The seven indicators are: Diversity, Contextualization, Transversality, Care, Curricular Approach, Professional Training and Citizenship/Participation. They served as categories of analysis for 23 Pedagogical Projects of the three courses of the nine public universities in the Northeast that served as a cutout for the documentary study.
