Projeto i students go on exchange

Iasmin Lindemann Wallauer and Gabriel Luis Diehl, just like other students were chosen to study next semester at Concordia University of Edmonton, in Canada. However, unlike the other students they will be the first outgoing students who were awarded a scholarship from Projeto i.

Both Diehl and Iasmin (Mechanical Engineering student in his 5th term and Marketing and Advertising student in her 4th term respectively) hope to take the opportunity to expand their knowledge in their field of study that may eventually contribute towards their professional and personal development. “I am looking forward to study engineering in English, which is of fundamental importance in the Engineering Labour Market, and, of course, I am curious to learn about the culture, which is important to my personal development.”- says Diehl. Iasmin says that, despite having studied English before she started at Univates, taking English classes in Projeto i gave her positive encouragement to go on the exchange. “I have high expectations for this exchange. I am looking forward to having new experiences.” – says she.

They will leave late December and start studying in January. “I believe this trip will change my life and the way I see things in many ways. Visiting other countries is a dream, and I feel like I’m taking the first step towards it.” – says Diehl. 

Enrol in Projeto i

Projeto i is an English course aimed at professors, staff. general students and students who own a scholarship from Univates. 2016 enrolment period are open until the 7th of February on www.univates.br/sistemas/inscricoes/. Classes begin on the 18th of February.
