With the increase in production and global competitiveness, industries are looking for solutions and tools to optimize their resources so that they operate in an orderly and scheduled manner. Industrial lines are increasingly automated, requiring high performance from machines and equipment, which produce with greater quality, efficiency and safety. In this context, this work aims to present the application of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques and methods used in industrial electrical maintenance applied in an industry for the production and processing of soy protein, for the purpose of evaluating the effectiveness of these maintenance, highlighting the problems and failures found, which problems were possibly avoided by having enough time to carry out scheduled stops, which in fact, without these techniques, could have caused breakdowns and production stops, consequently causing safety risks, delays and financial losses. With the management and application of techniques, significant results were obtained throughout the manufacturing process, such as increased machine availability time, constant budget without fluctuations due to expensive corrective maintenance that was not planned in advance, and improved performance in the tasks performed by technicians, providing a culture of continuous improvement within the company.
