A presente pesquisa objetivou compreender a experiência do brincar na escola para crianças da terceira infância de uma escola do interior do Rio Grande do Sul. Para tanto, a metodologia escolhida é de cunho qualitativo e o método refere-se a técnica do Grupo Focal (GF), realizada em uma escola municipal da zona urbana com 6 participantes, apresentando faixa etária de 6 a 10 anos de idade. Após os três encontros do GF, o estudo foi explorado através da análise de conteúdo proposta por Bardin (2016). Foi possível conhecer as experiências das crianças com o brincar na escola, identificando a potência do brincar e outros aspectos que o atravessam, concebendo em sua discussão a relação entre realidade e fantasia, as conversas sobre temas difíceis, os jogos online e a figura adulta vinculada ao brincar na escola.
The present study aimed to understand the experience of playing at school for school-age children at a school in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul. That being so, the chosen method was qualitative and the method used was that of a Focus Group (FG), carried out with six participants between the ages of 6 and 10 years old at a city school of the urban area. After the three FG encounters, the study was explored through content analysis proposed by Bardin (2016). It was possible to understand the children’s experiences with playing, identifying the potential within playing and other aspects that accompany it, having in its discussion the relationship between reality and fantasy, conversations on difficult topics, online games and the adult figure linked to playing at school.
