Abstract
Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is characterized by intense emotional dysregulation, being a severe and very complex mental disorder often associated with suicide. Given the prevalence of this pathology, the relevance of studies that investigate the efficacy of its treatment is justified. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to explore published empirical research on Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (TCD) for patients with BPD from the clinical trials that used this approach to treatment. It is a review of the literature published in the PubMed and SciELO databases of the articles published in the last five years (2003-2018), in which the descriptors "dialetical behavior therapy" and "borderline personality disorder" were used. A total of 667 articles were found, and only those that brought results of clinical trials that analyzed the treatment of TCD in patients with BPD, totaling 4 articles, were analyzed. It is concluded that, considering the high incidence of this disorder, the literature on the subject is still scarce and all articles present interventions with satisfactory results.
