Resumo: A Covid-19 provocou consequências físicas, psicológicas e biológicas de tal modo que provocou a ampliação de casos de psicopatologias no mundo todo, ampliando casos de depressão e ansiedade na população. Ante ao exposto, o objetivo desse estudo foi o de analisar o uso de antidepressivos e ansiolíticos antes e depois da pandemia de Covid-19 a partir da avaliação do consumo observado no período de janeiro de 2019 a junho de 2022 em uma drogaria localizada no município de Teutônia-RS. Realizou-se um estudo transversal entre agosto e outubro de 2023, sendo os dados coletados por meio de questionário semiestruturado e pesquisa documental no período de 2019 a 2022. Os dados indicaram uma prevalência do consumo de antidepressivos e ansiolíticos entre pessoas de 20 a 50 anos, com prevalência do consumo de antidepressivos como escitalopram (n=15; 15,3%), citalopram (n=13; 13,3%), sertralina (n=12; 12,2%) e fluoxetina (n=11; 11,2%) e ansiolíticos como bromazepam (n=4; 4,1%), alprazolam (n=3; 3,1%), clonazepam (n=3; 3,1%) e diazepam (n=3; 3,1%). A maioria dos entrevistados destacou o impacto da pandemia na ampliação do uso de medicamentos. Os dados encontrados pela pesquisa estão em consonância com a literatura disponível sobre o tema em diversos estados do Brasil, influindo as classes farmacológicas mais dispensadas.
Covid-19 caused physical, psychological, and biological consequences in such a way that it caused an increase in cases of psychopathology throughout the world, increasing cases of depression and anxiety in the population. Given the above, the objective of this study was to analyze the use of antidepressants and anxiolytics before and after the Covid-19 pandemic based on the assessment of consumption observed from January 2019 to June 2023 in a drugstore located in the city of Teutônia-RS. We carried out a cross-sectional study between August and October 2023, with data collected through a semi-structured questionnaire and documentary research between 2019 and 2023. The data indicated a prevalence of antidepressant and anxiolytic consumption among people aged 20 to 50 years. , with a prevalence of consumption of antidepressants such as escitalopram (n = 15; 15.3%), citalopram (n = 13; 13.3%), sertraline (n = 12; 12.2%), and fluoxetine (n = 11; 11.2%) and anxiolytics such as bromazepam (n = 4; 4.1%), alprazolam (n = 3; 3.1%), clonazepam (n = 3; 3.1%) and diazepam (n = 3; 3.1%), and the majority of interviewees highlighted the impact of the pandemic on the expansion of medication use. The data found by the research are in line with the literature available on the subject in several states in Brazil, influencing the most dispensed pharmacological classes.
