Introduction: Head and neck neoplasia affects the upper aerodigestive space and has varied symptoms, depending on the affected location. Radiotherapy is one of the treatment choices, but it affects healthy cells close to the tumor, causing adverse effects and impacting the individual's quality of life. Objective: To evaluate the quality of life of people with head and neck cancer undergoing radiotherapy at an Oncology Center in the interior of the State of Rio Grande do Sul. Method: The sample consisted of 16 people diagnosed with head and neck cancer who underwent radiotherapy and were being monitored from August to October 2023. The questionnaire was applied WHOQOL-bref, composed of 26 questions divided into the physical, psychological, social relations and environmental domains. Results: The majority of patients are male, over 60 years of age, with completed primary education and agriculture as their main occupational activity. Regarding the diagnosis, the majority have laryngeal cancer. The participants' self-assessment regarding quality of life was relatively good, with a reduction in the physical domain score in relation to the other domains. Conclusion: The quality of life of people with head and neck cancer undergoing radiotherapy is a complex and subjective topic, requiring a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to the patient. Therefore, it is essential to understand the individual's perception of quality of life, as their expectations and standards in the disease/health process are different.
