The use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), according to Moulin, Carvalho and Brião (2019), has encouraged the emergence of new techniques, practices or learning processes, including the development of different software. In order to explore the possibilities or contributions of this type of resource, a study was developed, with case study approaches, in the specific context of Bebidas Fruki S.A. The research is qualitative in nature and was conducted with 6 professionals in the field of information technology, specifically from the Operation and Service Departments of Bebidas Fruki S.A. The guiding problem of this research was the following: How can the Packet Tracer software contribute to the teaching of computer networks to the ICT professionals? To respond to the purpose of the research, the activities were addressed and classified in eight meetings, with the main objective of exploring and evaluating the use of Packet Tracer software for teaching Computer Networks in the ICT area of Bebidas Fruki S.A. All meetings were held in a virtual room, using the Teams software. The methodology used was data collection through the field diary, a semi-structured quiz, photographs or serigraphs, videos or recordings, and hands-on activities performed in the Packet Tracer software. The results of the studies showed that ICT professionals already had a basic knowledge of applications, hardware devices such as switches, routers, desktops, servers, notebooks, and printers as well as cabling, interconnection of subnets, documentation or notes about the devices used in their daily activities. However, during the meetings and practical activities, it was possible to identify that some of these professionals, despite already having previous knowledge, had difficulties in assimilating more advanced concepts and functionalities of the switches and routers devices. In the course of the research, it also became clear that by using the Packet Tracer Software and through simulations or project iterations (projects that are very close to reality), the professionals were able to significantly mitigate or reduce ‘ 14 their difficulties. Finally, when in the Teaching of Computer Networks we compared the practical activities carried out in the 1st meeting with the activities of the 8th meeting, we noticed a significant improvement and we concluded that the objective of this research was achieved. The progress was more visible at the end of the practical activities of the last meeting, when the professionals managed to develop a Computer Network with the segmentation of three VLAN’s, high availability, and a dual approach of communication between the subnetworks of the Industry of Lajeado and the Paverama Industry sites. It is evident that all professionals, without exception, successfully delivered the Network projects successfully and with excellence.
