Abstract
Este estudo, vinculado ao Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ensino da Universidade do Vale do Taquari – Univates, teve como objetivo compreender de que modo os docentes da educação profissional de nível médio, do Colégio Estadual Carlina Barbosa de Deus, localizado no município de Paulo Afonso, no Estado da Bahia, percebem o seu ofício de professor. Para esse propósito, o estudo apresenta uma abordagem qualitativa e a pesquisa classifica-se como descritiva e exploratória, o qual utilizou-se a técnica de grupo focal em cinco encontros com sete professores que lecionam componentes curriculares específicos, no eixo tecnológico de gestão e negócios, nos cursos de Administração, Recursos Humanos e Serviços Jurídicos. A partir da produção de dados, foi realizada a análise dos conteúdos baseados nos saberes e nas práticas docentes, conforme as percepções docentes. Neste estudo, foi possível identificar as inquietações dos docentes a partir de seus pontos de vista, as dificuldades que afetam direta e/ou indiretamente a prática do ensino na atualidade, como recursos públicos e condições infraestruturais da escola. A pesquisa ressalta também a relevância da formação continuada docente, para responder às mudanças no âmbito educacional, sobretudo, no que tange ao uso tecnológico no ensino. Esta pesquisa permitiu compreender melhor as percepções dos professores relacionadas ao seu ofício na Educação Profissional e Tecnológica de Nível Médio, além de proporcionar momentos de reflexão coletiva acerca da prática docente.
This study, linked to the Postgraduate Program in Teaching at the Universidade do Vale do Taquari – Univates, aimed to understand how teachers of secondary vocational education at Colégio Estadual Carlina Barbosa de Deus, located in the city of Paulo Afonso, in the state of Bahia, perceive their teaching profession. For this purpose, the study presents a qualitative approach and the research is classified as descriptive and exploratory, which used the focus group technique in five meetings with seven teachers who teach specific curricular components, in the technological axis of management and business, in the courses of Administration, Human Resources and Legal Services. From the data production, the content analysis was carried out based on teaching knowledge and practices, according to the teachers' perceptions. In this study, it was possible to identify the concerns of the teachers from their points of view, the difficulties that directly and/or indirectly affect the practice of teaching today, such as public resources and infrastructural conditions of the school. The research also highlights the importance of continuing teacher training to respond to changes in the educational environment, especially with regard to the use of technology in teaching. This research allowed us to better understand teachers' perceptions regarding their work in Secondary Level Professional and Technological Education, in addition to providing moments of collective reflection on teaching practice.
