| dc.description.abstract | O programa nuclear iraniano, o qual se desenvolveu a partir da década de 50, com a ajuda financeira dos Estados Unidos da América, denominada Átomos da Paz, possui grande relevância e, recentemente, vem sendo pauta em diversos debates no que diz respeito à política internacional. Tais debates ocorrem em virtude das tentativas dos Estados em reafirmar um acordo que seja capaz de controlar o crescimento nuclear do Irã, sem a necessidade de haver aplicação de sanções sob ele. Tendo em vista a importância do acordo, esta pesquisa possui como objetivo analisar as diversas decisões tomadas antes, durante e após os Estados do G5+1 firmarem o acordo com o Irã e, acima de tudo, compreender como a teoria do Realismo Ofensivo do teórico John Mearsheimer, se encaixa neste tema em questão. Portanto, como problematização da pesquisa, tem-se: De que modo os eventos envolvendo o acordo nuclear do Irã, em 2015, expressam as características do realismo ofensivo, de John Mearsheimer? Pode-se dizer que o Realismo Ofensivo está bastante presente nas ações dos Estados, pois, enquanto os EUA utiliza de meios ofensivos para evitar que o Irã desenvolva sua tecnologia nuclear em um nível que apresente perigo ao sistema internacional, o outro busca justamente a evolução deste recurso a fim de garantir maior segurança e influência sob os outros Estados, além de tornar-se uma potência regional no Oriente Médio. Por referencial teórico, esta pesquisa contém, principalmente, John Mearsheimer, a partir de seus livros Back to the Future (1990) e The Tragedy of Great Power Politics (2001). Além deste, também contam trabalhos de Ana Catarina Soares e Bernard Brodie, essenciais para a análise deste momento histórico na política internacional. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The iranian nuclear program, which was developed from the 50s, with financial assistance from the United States of America, nominated Atoms of Peace, has great relevance and, recently, has been the subject of several debates regarding international politics. Such debates occur due to the attempts of the USA to reaffirm an agreement that is capable of controlling Iran's nuclear growth, without the need to apply sanctions under it. Given the importance of the agreement, this research aims to analyze the various decisions taken before, during and after the G5+1 States signed the agreement with Iran and, above all, understand how the Offensive Realism theory of John Mearsheimer, fits this topic. Therefore, as a problematization of the research, we may have: How do the events evolving the Iranian Nuclear Agreement (2015), express the patterns of John Mearsheimer's offensive realism? It can be said that the Offensive Realism is very present in the actions of States, because, while the USA uses offensive means to prevent Iran from developing its nuclear technology at a level that produces danger to the international system, the other precisely seeks the evolution of this resource in order to guarantee greater security and influence over other States, besides becoming a regional power in the Middle East. By theoretical reference, this research mainly contains John Mearsheimer, from his books Back to the Future (1990) and The Tragedy of Great Power Politics (2001). In addition to this, there are also works by Ana Catarina Soares and Bernard Brodie, essential for the analysis of this historical moment in international politics. | |
