No século XX, ocorreram transformações significativas no Brasil devido à industrialização e urbanização, o que levou ao surgimento de ideias civilizadoras. Essas ideias estão associadas à moral, ética e aos valores internos dos indivíduos, assim como aos aspectos externos que se manifestam nas relações sociais. Segundo Norbert Elias (1994), o processo de formação do homem civilizado está ligado à capacidade de viver bem em sociedade. Desta forma, a fim de compreender o cenário de crescimento urbano e a as interações sociais que se configuram na cidade de Lajeado/Rio Grande do Sul, a partir da construção da BR-386, enfoca-se o figura feminina expressada em meio às páginas do jornal “O Informativo”. Diante disso, o presente trabalho visa analisar o universo feminino lajeadense, a partir do jornal “O Informativo”, após a inauguração da BR 386 (1970). Contextualizando os impactos urbanos e socioeconômicos que envolveram mulheres, buscar-se-á responder a seguinte questão: Quais são as características da imagem feminina expressas pelo jornal “O Informativo” na década de 1970? Assim, levantou-se a seguinte hipótese: Inicialmente, o jornal “O Informativo” representa a figura feminina lajeadense como objetos de desejo e beleza, reforçando a expectativa de que elas se enquadrassem nos papéis tradicionais de esposas, mães e donas de casa. No decurso, a mulher aparecerá desprendendo-se e buscando estar inserida na sociedade, mas ainda estará justaposta a uma representação da feminilidade associada à fragilidade, submissão e conformidade aos padrões estéticos da época. Aos poucos, começam a aparecer indícios de resistência e empoderamento feminino, através de discursos e narrativas que desafiaram essas representações estereotipadas e buscaram reivindicar espaços de poder e autonomia para as mulheres. Como proposta de trabalho, este estudo utilizou o recorte do jornal “O Informativo”, como fonte de análise e investigação. A metodologia utilizada é a qualitativa, a partir da análise das matérias publicadas durante os anos de 1970, 1975 e 1980 pelo periódico de maior circulação regional, além da revisão bibliográfica e levantamento de dados a partir das reportagens. De forma geral, ao observar os diferentes autores, como Norbert Elias, que se debruçam sobre o presente tema, entende-se que a sociedade e as relações humanas através de um ponto-de-vista, congregam uma perspectiva da psicologia, da sociologia e da história, pois todas as sociedades, ao longo do tempo, criaram normas e princípios com a finalidade de orientar as relações entre grupos e pessoas, o que denota que as demandas sociais de cada tempo histórico possibilitam transformações nos hábitos e costumes socialmente aceitos.
In the 20th century, significant transformations occurred in Brazil due to industrialization and urbanization, which led to the emergence of civilizing ideas. These ideas are associated with morals, ethics and the internal values of individuals, as well as the external aspects that manifest themselves in social relations. According to Norbert Elias (1994), the process of formation of civilized man is linked to the ability to live well in society. In this way, in order to understand the scenario of urban growth and the social interactions that are configured in the city of Lajeado/Rio Grande do Sul, from the construction of the BR-386, the focus is on the female figure expressed in the middle of the pages of the newspaper “O Informativo”. In view of this, the present work aims to analyze the female universe of Lajeadense, from the newspaper “O Informativo”, after the inauguration of BR 386 (1970). Contextualizing the urban and socioeconomic impacts that involved women, we will try to answer the following question: What are the characteristics of the female image expressed by the newspaper “O Informativo” in the 1970s? Thus, the following hypothesis was raised: Initially, the newspaper “O Informativo” represents the female figure from Lajeadense as objects of desire and beauty, reinforcing the expectation that they would fit into the traditional roles of wives, mothers and housewives. In the course, the woman appears to be detaching herself and seeking to be inserted in society, but she will still be juxtaposed with a representation of femininity associated with fragility, submission and conformity to the aesthetic standards of the time. Gradually, signs of resistance and female empowerment began to appear, through discourses and narratives that challenged these stereotyped representations and sought to claim spaces of power and autonomy for women. As a work proposal, this study used clippings from the newspaper “O Informativo” as a source of analysis and investigation. The methodology used is qualitative, based on the analysis of the articles published during the years 1970, 1975 and 1980 by the journal with the largest regional circulation, in addition to the bibliographic review and data collection from the reports. In general, when observing the different authors, such as Norbert Elias, who deal with the present theme, it is understood that society and human relations, through a point of view, bring together a perspective of psychology, sociology and of history, because all societies, over time, created norms and principles with the purpose of guiding the relationships between groups and people, which denotes that the social demands of each historical time make possible transformations in socially accepted habits and customs.
