| dc.description.abstract | Este estudo se dedica a refletir sobre a representação da mulher no audiovisual, considerando a linguagem fílmica nas especificidades próprias de séries do Netflix. O objeto de estudo compreende a série norte-americana Orange Is The New Black (OITNB), em quatro temporadas (de 2013 a 2016). O recorte temático se concentra na análise das violências moral e física contra as mulheres. Metodologicamente este trabalho se baseou nos estudos de Marcel Martin sobre linguagem fílmica e cinematográfica, bem como na pesquisa de Jacques Aumont sobre imagem e análise de filmes. O marco teórico se concentra nos estudos sobre a representação da mulher na sociedade, estudos sociológicos e de gênero, bem como o feminismo em Wollstencraft e Saffioti. Além disso, a análise dos frames contemplou o diálogo com a teoria da proxêmica em Edward Hall e a teoria das formas sociais em Georg Simmel. A pesquisa buscou analisar fotogramas/frames e sequências da série que demonstram a categoria violência de modo latente. As considerações finais apontam para possibilidades metodológicas acerca dos estudos sobre a representação da mulher no audiovisual e para a necessidade da discussão acadêmica sobre a violência contra a mulher nesse tipo de linguagem/arte/veículo de entretenimento. | pt_BR |
| dc.description.abstract | This study is dedicated to examines the representation of women in the audiovisual sector, considering the filmic language in their specific characteristics of series on Netflix. The object of study comprises the North American serie Orange is the New Black (OITNB), in its four seasons (from 2013 to 2016). The thematic focus analyzes moral and physic violence against women. Methodologically, this work was based on Marcel Martin's studies on film and cinematographic language, as well as on Jacques Aumont's image and film analysis. The theoretical framework focuses on studies of the representation of women in society, sociological and gender studies, as well as feminism in Wollstencraft and Saffioti. In addition, the analysis of frames contemplated the dialogue with the theory of proxemics in Edward Hall and the theory of social forms in Georg Simmel. The research sought to analyze frames and sequences of the series that depict violence in an obliquely. The study concludes with a forward-looking methodological discussion of the representation of women by audiovisual means, and encourages further academic critique of the spread of gender-based violence by the aforementioned vehicle of language, art and entertainment | pt_BR |
