| dc.description.abstract | Esta monografia apresenta a pesquisa realizada no acervo do jornal O Informativo do Vale. Dentre os objetivos deste trabalho está a compreensão da representação simbólica no discurso do periódico quando trabalha questões envolvendo a imigração haitiana para o Vale do Taquari. O recorte temporal estabelecido é voltado aos anos de 2012 até o final de 2017, tendo em vista a onda migratória do período. Dentre os motivos que levam as pessoas a migrar estão causas envolvendo política, economia ou questões naturais, tal como o terremoto que atingiu o Haiti no ano de 2010. O destino é escolhido levando em consideração uma série de variáveis, entre elas, a cultura e a oferta de condições de trabalho, sendo que o Vale do Taquari tornou-se atrativo, uma vez que várias empresas, especialmente do ramo alimentício e da construção civil encontravam dificuldades na contratação de mão de obra. A metodologia utilizada é a qualitativa, a partir da análise das matérias publicadas pelo periódico de maior circulação regional, além da revisão bibliográfica e levantamento de dados a partir das reportagens. Inicialmente, é desenvolvido um capítulo apresentando o referencial teórico utilizado. Em seguida, é feita a caracterização do jornal enquanto empresa, além de apresentar os aspectos jornalísticos. Uma vez apresentado o referencial teórico e feita a contextualização do jornal, são elaborados dois capítulos analisando as matérias - primeiramente procurando identificar características de ordem econômica e, em seguida, de natureza cultural. Através dessa análise, foi possível entender como a imprensa local apresenta a questão haitiana no Vale. Além disso, foi possível estabelecer um diálogo com o conceito de representação simbólica. | pt_BR |
| dc.description.abstract | This monograph presents the research carried out in the collection of the newspaper O Informativo do Vale. Among the objectives of this work is the understanding of the symbolic representation involved in the journal's discourse when it works on issues involving Haitian immigration to the Taquari Valley. The time cut established was from the year 2012 to the end of 2017, in view of the migratory wave of the period. The reasons for the migrations are political, economic and natural issues, such as the earthquake that struck Haiti in 2010. Fate is chosen by taking several variables, including culture and the provision of working conditions, where the Vale do Taquari became attractive, since several companies, especially in the food and construction sector, had difficulties in hiring personnel. The methodology used is the qualitative one based on the analysis of the articles published by the periodical with the largest regional circulation, besides the bibliographic review and data collection from the reports. Initially a chapter presenting the theoretical reference used is developed. Then the characterization of the newspaper as a company is made, besides presenting the journalistic aspects. Once the theoretical framework has been presented and the contextualization of the newspaper has been presented, two chapters are elaborated analyzing the subjects, first trying to identify characteristics of economic order and then of cultural nature. With this analysis it was possible to understand how the local press presents the Haitian issue in the Valley. In addition, it was possible to establish a dialogue with the concept of symbolic representation. | pt_BR |
