For this, it is necessary that companies invest in people management policies and practices, through duly prepared leaders. In this context, the general objective of this study was to understand people management in accounting offices; and the specific objectives were: a) to identify the existing people management practices in accounting offices; and b) identify the perception of employees regarding people management practices existing in accounting offices. The theoretical foundation approaches people management policies and practices, in addition to the relationship between organizational culture and leadership in people management. As methodological procedures, a quantitative and descriptive research was adopted, using a structured online questionnaire applied to employees of accounting offices associated with the Union of Accountants and Accounting Technicians of Vale do Taquari (SINCOVAT).
